What’s New with LightSpeed II?
The biggest shift in LightSpeed II is material-driven. All carbon components from the original build have been removed and replaced with a custom-engineered blend of high tensile S-Glass and Innegra™ composite.
Why? Because carbon can feel fast but rigid. S-Glass and Innegra™ bring strength and responsiveness, while introducing a dampened flex pattern that smooths out chatter and twitch, especially in everyday surf.
The result is a lighter, livelier board that still holds its line at speed, but feels noticeably smoother through turns.
Updated Exoskeleton = Smoother Flex
The signature Exoskeleton centreline strips have also been reworked. Now built from S-Glass infused with Innegra™, they maintain tensile strength while delivering a more forgiving flex than carbon.
This upgrade helps reduce vibration through the board, giving you a calmer, more controlled feel without dulling performance.
Web Fused Innegra™ Tail Patch
LightSpeed II also replaces the previous carbon tail patches with Web Fused Innegra™. This update improves dampening under the back foot, adding a touch of forgiveness where it matters most—while keeping the board fast, reactive, and alive.
The overall result is a white, clean-looking board that feels light, responsive, and smoother from take-off to rail exit.
Why S-Glass + Innegra™ Matters
Beyond feel, S-Glass brings a key performance advantage: more flex before failure. Compared to carbon, it offers a greater bend range before creasing or buckling, helping boards handle pressure better and potentially extend their lifespan.

No Carbon Footprints*
LightSpeed II eliminates all carbon from the layup. For surfers looking to reduce their carbon footprint (literally) this construction removes carbon entirely, while still delivering the speed and pop LightSpeed is known for.
